THE GOOD & EVIL OF BRANDING

So much of branding has historically been about lies and deception that we hesitate to use the word. To "brand," or create and reinforce an image and a personality for a product or service, has been used by big business to make us believe that artificial, caffeine-and-sugar-laden soda water is "it"; that a paper tube of dried leaves and toxic chemicals placed in one's mouth, lit with flame and deeply inhaled is Kool; that processed, flavored, fried meals are what happy people put into their bodies to make them so joyous.

These are all examples of how we, as impressionable humans, and as a culture, have bought (to the point of addiction) these believable messages conveyed by form, color, image and typography. Therein lies the power of branding.

WHY "FLASH" BRANDING?

Our mission in this growing field, is to focus only on branding with integrity, meaning partnering with people, products and services that are in integrity with who they are, what they do and how and what they contribute to the world. We work with those who are committing to a process of discovery and in a place where they are ready to honor the value they bring. The best part of that process is the FLASH of insight that becomes the key to a powerful brand. We then design in a way that visually and verbally communicates that value elegantly, creatively and accurately.
